The steel targets in the Fourth Plan sought to raise the aggregate capacity of the integrated steel plants from 8.9 million tonnes -LRB- ingots -RRB- and 6.7 million tonnes -LRB- saleable steel -RRB- in 1968-69 to 12 million tonnes -LRB- ingot -RRB- and 9 million tonnes -LRB- saleable steel -RRB- in 1973-74 . ठहराव चौथी योजना में इस्पात लक्ष्यों द्वारा समेकित इस्पात संयंत्रों की कुल क्षमता को , सन् 1968-69 के लिए 89 लाख टन ( इस्पात पिंड में ) तथा 67 लाख टन ( विक्रय योग़्य इस्पात में ) से बढ़ाकर 120 लाख टन ( इस्पात पिंड में ) तथा 190 लाख टन ( विक्रय योग़्य इस्पात में ) रखा
